The low frame rate and FOV were incredibly jarring coming from a gaming PC but I'm getting used to it. I've only got a modest 3 playthroughs done over that time, but it's still one of my favorite games of all time, so of course I wanted to get it for my Switch for zombies on the go. I was a day one player on PC and have been playing pretty frequently off and on since then. Definitely planning on looking Co-Op with someone as well I give this port a 9.5/10 and it will go to a 10/10 once some patches roll out, the game is just being slightly held back from frame pacing issues and image quality. I believe if Techland went the “Witcher 3 method” and offered sharpening filters or straight up post processing options, I think for playing on the go it will look waaay better. Image quality could be better however it’s not like The Outer Worlds bad quality, but more like Crysis Remastered.

It runs really really smooth normally, however Techland has said they plan to stabilize the game over time and seeing how this company STILL updates the game, I believe they will very soon. So one major thing that I do before I buy a switch game normally is look at performance, so because I couldn’t really before, I will tell you myself. This is like cyberpunk2077 for storyline, 7 days to die and ghost runner for gameplay, and for only $50 I wish I was able to pay $60. Tuesday came and I was able to play it myself and my lord is it going to be one of my top games on the platform.

It was going to be on the same level as Alien isolation, the Witcher 3, Skyrim, or even dark souls remastered.A port that went against all odds.

Watched the digital foundry video for the game and I was honestly impressed with what they were able to accomplish on v1.01, like it reminded me of playing a game like wolfenstien on ps3 instead of ps4, it wasn’t trying to be a rushed/cash cow port. I saw nothing however I decided to take my chances and pressed the button. Well I heard a huge console game was being ported over to switch so when I saw the pre order option, I decided to invest some time into what they wanted to do. I have played dead island by them and seeing from some gameplay for dying light, it looks pretty similar with jumping around looking funny. To start this off, I had never played dying light.
